Amy Muñoz, DBH, MS, LAC, NCC is CODAC’s Chief Compliance Officer. Dr. Munoz is a licensed therapist specializing in trauma, brief-solution-focused intervention, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She holds a Doctorate of Behavioral Health Management through Arizona State University. Dr. Munoz oversees the Quality Management, Performance Improvement and Utilization Management departments which specializes in high acuity teams including court ordered treatment, hospitalization and residential services. Dr. Munoz is affiliated with of several organizations including the AzHEC (Health Current) Health Information Exchange Clinical Advisory Council, Community Police Advisory Board and Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leaders council. She has presented at several integrated health care conferences and has over 20 years of social service and behavioral health experience. In addition to her clinical and administrative work, Dr. Munoz has served as a CARF surveyor for over a decade providing consultative feedback and accreditation to assist health and human service providers with adherence to best practices internationally. Eddie Ornelas has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona. Since joining CODAC in 2005, Dr. Ornelas has held supervisory roles in various departments at CODAC including the Developmental Disability Team, Forensic Services Team and as the Senior Director of Outpatient Services. Dr. Ornelas became a licensed psychologist in June of 2013 and a licensed substance abuse counselor in 2004. In his current role, Dr. Ornelas maintains oversight of integrated health and wellness services at CODAC. Dr. Ornelas chose the field of counseling and psychology to help people and families/families of choice to reach their full potential and live healthy, stable and productive lives. He believes in an integrative approach which nurtures the body, mind and spirit. Dan Barden serves as the Chief Clinical Officer. He has an MS in Counseling in addition to over 30 years of experience in behavioral health. The majority of his career has been spent in rural behavioral health with a wide variety of duties including administrative and clinical oversight of a 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facility, residential substance abuse treatment programs, day programs for persons with Serious Mental Illness and intensive outpatient programs substance abuse treatment programs for adolescents and adults. For the past eight years he has been part of CODAC’s leadership team with responsibilities including oversight of the 24/7 MAT Center of Excellence Clinic, two large integrated outpatient clinics as well as specialty services for criminal justice involved programs, substance use disorder Intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment programs.
