Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive Compensation + Benefits Total compensation can also be used to describe the total value an organization offers employees. For example, this might include job perks that have a monetary value, as well as the benefits provided by the employer. Vacation time, holiday pay, health insurance, dental plans, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement plans are all benefits that can be considered part of an employee's total compensation package. Training: Training is learning events that are planned in a systemic fashion and related to events in the work environment. The training process is the systematic acquisition of skills, rules, concepts, or attitudes that result in improved performance in the work environment. Training Pay Code (TRG) – This is used to designate hours spent in qualified training on an employee timecard. Unconscious Bias: unconscious favoritism toward or prejudice against people of a particular ethnicity, gender, or social group that influences one's actions or perceptions Weekly Totals – Total number of hours for the work week. Consists of worked and non-worked hours. Wellness: Wellness is defined as the balance of physical, emotional, environmental, occupational, financial, social, spiritual, and intellectual health. Worked Hours – Actual hours the employee physically works. For Hourly employees this consists of clock time punches on the timecard. For Salary employees this consists of hours recorded as Regular or Training on the timecard. Workers’ Compensation: Workers’ compensation programs provide benefits to workers who experience work-related injuries or illnesses.
