The most comprehensive resource for member benefits would be the Membership department themselves. Membership staff go through a much more extensive training on member’s benefits and should be able to answer most benefit related questions. This is also the department that assists members with applying for/renewing their Medicaid and nutrition assistance benefits. In some cases, Membership will refer to CODAC’s Billing department to get additional clarifications regarding members’ commercial plans and more complex benefit related scenarios. Behind the scenes, these teams work to maintain the member’s benefit indicators within the NextGen system. They may enlist the help of you and your team to identify clinical criteria which may also have an effect on a member’s benefit package. If you or your team need supplemental training, please reach out to Membership Leadership through the Outlook distribution named the same (“Membership Leadership”).
